Dramatic Views & Soft Sediments is an on-going collection of altered landscapes. These images are all created in-camera utilizing prisms, mirrors, gels, and intentional camera movement to alter the field of view. The use of repetition, color, and line obscure familiar places to evoke internal sentiments and associations of place. They are murmurs of geological, collective, and personal narratives held in the landscape. Many of the images were created near the San Andreas fault, land that heaves, reverberates, and is carved by coastal erosion. My journeys into this space always stirs an awareness of my interior scapes.
