While most of my fieldwork series takes place at various locations, this series, Shadow-In-Place, was completed in my small back patio in San Francisco. Using natural sunlight, between the hours of 4-6 PM, this work marks time & place. The repeated ritual of using the same rock, paper, and string was a metaphor for how sheltering-in-place required a certain resourcefulness and daily rewiring of how we lived in our home environments during the spring of 2020.
